Development of Inverse engineering method for composite material products

A software method was develop to predict the most appropriate materials and geometrical configurations of carbon fibre tubes based on a set of target features.
The method is based on Artificial Intelligence methods that were though using thousands of systematic Finite Element Analysis runs.
The optimum geometry and the material characteristics are determined using a multi dimensional non linear solver. The objective functions are engineered to remain within the scope of continuous numerical methods despite de discrete nature of the materials available.
